A full-time professional writer, illustrator and photographer since 1989, John Gillham is best known for his lavishly-illustrated coffee-table books. His first, Snowdonia to the Gower, has been described as one of the classic books on Wales. Gillham is a regular contributor to TGO, where his recent series, 'Way to Go' appeared every month.John is currently working on a 4-book series of Pictorial Guides to the Mountains of Snowdonia for Wainwright’s publisher Frances Lincoln. The first two volumes are already in the shops while vols 3 & 4 will be published in March 2011. Gillham has won the Outdoor Writers Guild ‘Award for Exellence’ along with Ronald Turnbull for their book, Coast to Coasting. |
